NPORS. Excavation Marshall/Banksman

Who is this course for?

The course is suitable for novice/new operators, experienced operators requiring additional training, experienced workers undertaking assessment only, and those renewing a Traditional NPORS card.

What you will learn?

• The duties and responsibilities of an Excavation Marshall/Banksman
• Controlling plant and vehicle movements safely
• Using appropriate signals and communication methods
• Maintaining safe working areas around excavation activities
• Supporting safe excavation operations
• Recognising hazards associated with plant and vehicle movements
• Understanding safe working procedures around excavations
• Positioning safely when directing plant and vehicles
• Communicating effectively with machine operators and site personnel
• Demonstrating safe and competent marshalling and banksman practices

Teaching and Assessment

Novice and experienced operators receive one day of training. Experienced workers can undertake a ½-day assessment-only route with no formal training. Refresher training is available as a one-day course.

What you get once complete.

On successful completion, delegates will receive the NPORS N027 Excavation Marshall/Banksman qualification.
