SSP – Health and Safety Awareness (HS&A) – 1 Day

Course Aims

The CITB health and safety awareness course is a one-day training course for new entrants to the construction sector. This one-day health and safety course will provide you with a solid knowledge of health and safety. It will also teach you your responsibilities and legal duties, that you need in the construction industry.

Course Content

• Understand the need to prevent accidents
• Have an understanding of health and safety law
• Identify how their role fits into the control and management of the site
• Understand the need for risk assessments and method statements
• Appreciate the need to perform safely and to stop and ask for advice if not sure
• Feel obliged to report unsafe acts to prevent an accident
