NPORS Slinger/Signaller (N402)

Course Aims

To deliver comprehensive practical and theoretical training for Slinger/Signaller, ensuring candidates can perform their duties competently and safely, and successfully pass the NPORS Theory and Practical Tests.

This course is available for anyone with limited or no experience on Slinging/Signalling, experienced workers will be able to sit a one day Experience Workers Assessment (Test Only)

Course Content

• An introduction to the Construction Industry
• Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998
• Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998
• Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
• Other current relevant regulations
• Code of signals to BS7121
• How to calculate safe working loads
• Effects of varying the angles of multi-leg slings
• Hazards associated with crane operation and how to avoid them

Duration of the course depends on experience level of candidates attending

Qualifications you gain

Traditional NPORS Card or CSCS Logo Card.
