NPORS Articulated Dump Truck (N205)

Course Aims

To deliver comprehensive practical and theoretical training for Articulated Dump Truck, ensuring candidates can perform their duties competently and safely, and successfully pass the NPORS Theory and Practical Tests.

This course is available for anyone with limited or no experience on a Articulated Dump Truck, experienced workers will be able to sit a one day Experience Workers Assessment (Test Only)

Course Content

• Be able to operate the machine safely and correctly in accordance with manufacturer’s
instructions and accepted good practice
• Understand the causes of instability of the truck and the load
• Carry out a pre-start inspection
• Be able to operate safely under varying site conditions
• Be able to position the vehicle for loading from and dumping into excavations etc.
• Have an understanding of responsibilities under current relevant Health and Safety legislation
• Be able to operate the machine safely and correctly in accordance with manufacturer’s
instructions and accepted good practice.
• Carry out a pre-shift inspection.
• Be able to operate safely under varying site conditions.
• Be able to carry out minor adjustments and routine services

Traditional NPORS Card or CSCS Logo Card.
