CPCS Excavator 360 Above & Below 10 Tons (A59)

Course Aims

To deliver comprehensive practical and theoretical training for Excavator 360, ensuring candidates can perform their duties competently and safely, and successfully pass the CPCS Theory and Practical Tests.

This course is available for anyone with limited or no experience on a Excavator 360, experienced workers will be able to sit a Two day Experience Workers course or a Half Day Experienced Workers Assessment (Test Only)

Course Content

Describe the nature of the sector of industry and their role and responsibilities as a plant operator
Name and explain the purpose of principal components, the basic construction controls and terminology
Conform with manufacturer’s requirements as per the operator’s manual, other types of information sources and relevant regulations and legislation
Undertake all pre-use checks
Configure and set for travel (site and highway – where applicable)
Travel over rough, undulating ground, substantial inclines and level surfaces
Manoeuvre in confined spaces
Configure and set for lifting operations
Explain actions required for hazards, underground and overhead services
Lift, move and place a variety of slung loads
Travel with slung loads
Carry out shut down and securing procedures

Practical & Theory
Duration of the course depends on experience level of candidates attending

Qualifications you gain

CPCS Trained Operator Card (red card) on passing the CPCS technical tests
