This course will give you foundation training and assessment in undertaking Fire Warden duties and is suitable if you have received no formal instruction or, if you wish to refresh your skills, we offer a short duration course.

By the end of this training course, the learner will be able to answer questions on and perform the following:

• Have a basic understanding of the principles of fire safety
• What fire is and how it spreads
• Assessing fire risks
• Fire prevention
• Controlling the effects of fire if they start
• Means of extinguishing fires
• The role of a fire warden
• Emergency procedures and means of escape.
